Cursor lands at a random location

Environment:

  • Cockpit: newest code from next branch with a multilingual configuration
  • MacOS 10.14.5
  • Chrome

Issue:
Often, when opening up a new entry, the cursor and text display strange behaviours. Part of the text is sometimes missing which appears after a reload.

More often, the text is there, but when you click a location on the edit box the cursor will appear in a completely different location, albeit in the same field. Switching the view to Preview and back to Markdown resolves the issue. For what it’s worth, the cursor moving up and to the left (as shown in the photo) is the typical behaviour.

Yes, sir, we are using the latest branch. Is there any sense in trying to update it again?

which addons / plugins are you running?

(plugins may ship some scripts that may cause problems with your cockpit installation).

Are you shown some console errors when you open the chrome developer tools? (you can open those on mac by pressing Ctrl Option J) (you have to reload the page after the tools were opened)
