Page-Layout UI Bug

Hi,

There seems to be a major bug with the layout UI of pages.
It only seems to happen on Mac Retina display (or maybe high-res display in general), not on “normal” displays.

Using Cockpit Pro 2.9.4 with mongolite on an Ubuntu Server with PHP 8.2.24.
But it also happened on older Cockpit Versions like 2.6.1.

Somehow the entire UI disappears on longer Layout pages when scrolling down or changing locales.
Here is a video of the bug:

If you need any more details, let me know.

Best,
Daniel

p.s. the website is still in development, thus no Cockpit Pro License yet :stuck_out_tongue:.

Hey👋

The video isn’t available anymore. Does the issue still exists on your side?

Greets,
Artur

Hi,

Yes, the issue still exists.
Here the video again:

I tested it on multiple Macbooks and iMacs with Retina displays and had the same bug.
It looks like it only happens on long pages (the small pages with only 2 components in the layout are not affected, as you can see in the video at 0:28).
I’m also using Custom Layout Components.

Best,
Daniel

Thanks, I’ll try to investigate.

Does it happen only in specific browsers or is it only related to retina displays?

Thanks for investigating.

It seems to be mainly a problem in Chrome on Retina Displays. (not tested on any other high-resolution display besides Retina, normal-resolution displays seem to be fine)

@DanielWahl Can you please test the latest dev build. You can also update to the latest via terminal

./tower app:update pro develop

Or go to Settings > Tower and enter

app:update pro develop

Please also delete the browser cache after the update
