Cockpit dead within a few min and not accessible

Hi,

I’m new to cockpit and trying to set it up for the first time. I encounter the following problem:

Used the manual to install cockpit on CentOS 7.x. Yum install says it’s already installed, so great! Checking the firewall and semanage to see if cockpit is allowed. Everything seems ok:

Package cockpit-195.1-1.el7.centos.0.1.x86_64 already installed and latest version

semanage port -a -t websm_port_t -p tcp 9090
ValueError: Port tcp/9090 already defined

firewall-cmd --permanent --zone=public --add-service=cockpit
Warning: ALREADY_ENABLED: cockpit

Also checked the certificate and seems fine. But when trying to connect trough the browser on port 9090 nothing happens. Err connection time out. After further investigating the cockpit service is dead(inactive). When I start cockpit (systemctl start cockpit) the service is running for about 2 min and then turns dead again. When the service is active I still can’t connect to cockpit on port 9090. There seems to be no logging about why the service turns inactive again.

I’m also running apache on this server. Could there be any kind of conflict?

Thanks for the help!
