Public API access is broken

Just want to state that the whole Public API access thing inside of Cockpit is completely broken. Maybe this was working in past versions but it is not at the moment.

So in your documentation you state the following:

But it is literally impossible to reach step 9. At step 8, where I am supposed to select the role for my public access, it does not select it and let me save. When I click on the role I want to select it just automatically goes into the role editor, which is pointless because even if I update the role from there it still does not give me an option to select it for my public API access. It’s so damn annoying that I can’t even do something as simple as this.

I’m a bit late, but it’s just a UX problem, not really a bug.

When you are at the 8th step, do as it is mentioned : "Click No role set”. Do not click on the button at the right of the line as it will indeed send you to the Role creation page. Instead click at the left of this line on “No role set”, so it will open the options selector to choose a role for the API key.

Omg that was it haha. Now I feel dumb. But the UX is really counter productive here and goes against the normal flow of what you’d expect here. Thank you for your reply
