Content link → auto backlink for linked items

Maybe there is already a solution for this:

With content link I can link to another item. In my case and for a special field, it is necessary that the linked item links back (for the same content model).

Example with 2 items (manually):

  • item 1 → field X → content link → link to item 2
  • item 2 → field X → content link → link to item 1

An automatic process would be useful so that this does not have to be done manually for each item:

  • item 1 → field X → content link → link to item 2
  • item 2 → field X → links automatically to item 1

Is there already a workaround for this?
