# Can we please get a reset password feature?

its just a very basic feature i think every small software has. A simple handover of projects to clients or providing backend access to clients becomes difficult as reset password is not a thing.

while i appricaite the project exists , but i find it confusing why such a basic feature not yet available?

Hi!

Cockpit has a password reset feature. You need to provide a proper email/smtp configuration in config/config.php to get more options on the login screen:
