Yes, there is such a thing, the `$regex` filter.

POST:  
`api/collections/get/articles`  
Body:

```auto
{     
  "limit": 10,     
  "filter": {   
    "content": {      
      "$regex" : "(phone|tablet)" // a valid PHP regular expression without slashes
    }
  },     
  "sort": { 
    "_created" : -1
  } 
}

```
